CONSTRUCCIÓN DE PISTAS DE TENIS

PROFESSIONAL Tennis Strings

Design, engineering and turnkey delivery for high-performance sports projects

Building tennis courts involves much more than simply laying a sports surface. It is a technical process that combines site analysis, structural design, the selection of the appropriate playing surface, and precise execution to ensure levelness, drainage and long-term durability. Every detail has a direct impact on player performance and the facility’s lifespan.

At Universal Sport, we take a comprehensive approach to every tennis court construction project, from the initial assessment through to the final handover, ready for play. We work with approved surface systems and technical solutions tailored to clubs, academies, municipal facilities and private projects, ensuring a professional, safe result that is ready for intensive use.

Furthermore, each project is planned taking into account key factors such as the intensity of use, local weather conditions, the available budget and regulatory requirements. This strategic approach enables us to optimise both the initial investment and future maintenance costs, ensuring a tennis court with consistent technical performance, excellent playing quality and maximum durability over time.

Track construction process

Step by step

The construction of a tennis court begins with a preliminary site survey and a technical analysis to determine the feasibility of the project. During this phase, factors such as the topography, the bearing capacity of the soil, the sun’s orientation and the necessary drainage system are assessed. Proper site preparation is key to ensuring structural stability and preventing future subsidence or drainage issues. This step is crucial to ensuring that the court meets the quality and performance standards required for professional sports facilities.

Once the base—usually made of concrete or asphalt, depending on the type of project—has been laid, the chosen construction system is then applied. This is where the construction of tennis courts takes on its most significant technical dimension, as the various layers that make up the sports surface are installed: primers, elastic layers, acrylic coatings or specific systems depending on whether the surface is resin, clay or other solutions. Each layer must be applied at controlled thicknesses and under suitable environmental conditions to ensure uniform bounce, consistent playing speed and high durability.

Finally, the construction process for the professional tennis court is completed with the application of regulation markings, the installation of sports equipment (posts, net, fencing and lighting where applicable) and a comprehensive technical inspection prior to handover. This final phase ensures that the court is fully operational and ready for use, complying with current regulations and offering optimal performance for clubs, academies and private facilities alike.
